Update, Nov, 9, 2022: plugin support is discontinued for WHMCS.

We’re at the cPanel Conference in Denver this week, so feel free to drop by our booth and say hello. It’s a great opportunity to connect with our partners and better understand their needs. We’re always trying to streamline our partners’ user experience, and we thought it would be a fitting time to walk through our recently updated WHMCS integration.

CloudFlare’s WHMCS 6.0 plugin lets hosting providers and registrars extend all the benefits of CloudFlare directly to their customers. You can offer your entire user base a global CDN with 62 points of presence, automatic web content optimization, basic DDoS protection, reputation-based threat protection, and much more with virtually no extra work.

These benefits are seamlessly integrated into your WHMCS client. All your customers need to do is click a button, and a new CloudFlare account will be configured for them.

While signing up for an account on www.cloudflare.com only takes a few minutes, users do need to point the relevant DNS records to CloudFlare’s nameservers. Offerring a one-click solution via our WHMCS integration is a great opportunity for hosting providers and registrars to streamline the process for their customers.

CloudFlare’s Universal SSL offering provides free SSL encryption to all customers on its network. However, as a partner, Universal SSL is only available with full DNS integration (opposed to CNAME integration). Our WHMCS module comes with full DNS integration built-in, making it the fastest way to get up and running with Universal SSL.

So, in addition to the performance and basic security benefits of CloudFlare, you can also offer free SSL encryption to all of your customers.

The CloudFlare team is heading to HostingCon 2015 in San Diego next week. We are excited to meet colleagues from the industry, reconnect with partners, and make new friends.

This year’s conference marks a milestone of sorts. It’s our fifth time at HostingCon and we’ve come full circle - our first HostingCon took place in San Diego. Here are some fun facts on what we’ve accomplished since our first HostingCon in 2011:

25 new data centers expanded our network to a total of 36 worldwide

2M+ customers served

800+ conference attendees transported in our signature limo service. If you haven’t already, sign up to arrive in style.

2,500+ Nerf guns delivered. Check out the new models this year in celebration of Railgun 5.0 launch

3,000+ CloudFlare t-shirts bringing smiles to our partners

Today, CloudFlare is trusted by over 5,000 partners who offer performance and security to millions of customers accelerating and protecting websites, APIs, and mobile apps. We work hard to deliver real savings for our partners. For example, over the past month we saved our partners more than 25 petabytes in aggregate bandwidth (roughly equivalent to 3.7 million hours of HDTV video); stopped 65 billion+ malicious attacks that would have impacted our partners' infrastructure. To find out detailed analytics for your own customers, log into the CloudFlare Partner Portal and check out this Partner Analytics blog.

The past 12 months have been particularly productive. We’ve added a number of partners, some geographically far flung, such as Hostnet (in Brazil) and Web Africa (in South Africa). We continued to innovate our technology to serve partners better. We’ve made it incredibly easy to offer CloudFlare across all your customers, launched ServerShield Plus (our security-focused offering for Plesk users), enabled Universal SSL for partners using full DNS, rolled out Virtual DNS to strengthen partners’ infrastructure, and released Railgun 5.0 (the latest version of our dynamic content accelerator).

There’s lots to celebrate. If you’re in San Diego for HostingCon, join us! Here’s what to expect:

Complimentary limo transfers from San Diego International Airport to the Marriott Marquis and Marina Hotel on Sunday, July 26. Reserve your spot.

CloudFlare-sponsored breakfast each morning with music from local artists

Our signature Nerf Railguns (limited quantity). Be sure to visit booth #307 early.

CloudFlare t-shirts

Sunday, July 26

Limo transfers from San Diego International Airport to the Marriott Marquis

Monday, July 27

3:30pm-4:30pm: Cybersecurity panel, featuring our own Nick Sullivan

Tuesday, July 28

9:00am-9:50am: ‘Clicks, Not Cash: Give Users a Free SEO boost’, presented by Maria Karaivanova

11:00am-6:00pm: Exhibit hall

4:00pm-6:00pm: Happy hour!

We’ve had the good fortune to share many great experiences with the Acquia team over the last few years. From breaking bread with founder and CTO Dries Buytaert at SXSW, to skiing the slopes of Park City with the company’s CEO Tom Erickson, to staying up late with their incredible team onboarding a joint customer under a DDoS attack. It’s always a pleasure to spend time with the Acquia team.

Today we are thrilled to welcome Acquia as a CloudFlare Partner. Together we developed Acquia Cloud Edge powered by CloudFlare making it easier for any of their customers to access CloudFlare’s web performance and security solutions. The Acquia Cloud Edge is a family of products that protects websites against security threats, ensures only clean traffic get served, and speeds up site performance no matter where visitors are located.

Acquia Cloud Edge powered by CloudFlare comes as Edge Protect and Edge CDN. Edge Protect defends against DDoS and other network-level attacks. CloudFlare sits on the network edge in front of Acquia web servers, allowing early identification of attack patterns and questionable visitors, and mitigating attacks before they reach a user’s site. Edge CDN accelerates the delivery of digital experiences through CloudFlare’s global network with the fastest, most full-featured CDN on the market. It cuts page load times by up to 50 percent and reduces bandwidth. Customers see up to a 95 percent cache hit rate, reducing the number of requests that have to be served from the Acquia infrastructure.

CloudFlare has been a fan of Drupal from the very beginning, and with nearly 2 million sites built on the open content management framework, we are excited to partner with Acquia to provide the best web performance and security for the Drupalverse.

Get started or learn more about CloudFlare and Acquia.

So what does this mean? Now, Google Cloud Platform customers can experience the best of both worlds—the power and protection of the CloudFlare community along with the flexibility and scalability of Google’s infrastructure.

We share many mutual customers with Google, and this collaboration makes it even easier for Google Cloud Platform customers to get started with CloudFlare.

In March 2013, a small team from Cloudflare found ourselves bonding over a beer and a schnitzel in Karlsruhe, Germany — the home of 1&1 Internet.

On a rainy day back in March 2013, a small team from CloudFlare found ourselves bonding over a beer and a schnitzel in Karlsruhe, Germany — the home of 1&1 Internet. 1&1 is one of the leading hosting companies in the world, the second largest shared host by number of customers. The schnitzel and beer was the start of a great relationship that has turned into a terrific partnership.Starting today, 1&1 customers can enjoy a faster and more secure website with just a few clicks from their control panel.

1&1 customers who have been part of the beta release have already seen terrific results. For instance, 1&1 customer Patrick Kershner has experienced first-hand the performance improvements for his PC repair business hosted on 1&1. "Since implementing 1&1 CDN powered by CloudFlare, my customers have experienced significantly faster loading times. Everything from the phone number, links and other static information appears in seconds, which is really important to my customers," explained Kershner. That's what we like to hear!

Optimized Partner

CloudFlare has more than 4,000 hosting partners. In aggregate, more than half of the world's shared hosting clients are able to get the benefits of CloudFlare through their host's control panel.

1&1 took the extra step of becoming an Optimized Partner. This means that any 1&1 customer who signs up for CloudFlare through the 1&1 control panel gets the benefits of Railgun. CloudFlare's Railgun technology is pretty close to magic. It allows us to cache the static portions of dynamic content, making pages load in the blink of an eye.

Railgun is typically reserved for our Business and Enterprise plans. We frequently receive requests to make Railgun available at the Free and Pro levels. The challenge in doing so is technical. Railgun needs to be installed on a server near a CloudFlare customer's origin. We then hold a connection open to that server from many of our data centers around the world. If we did this for each of our 1.5 million customers the resource burden would be substantial. We therefore limit individual installations to only our top tiers of service.

Railgun for the Masses

Railgun is such a big performance boost, however, that we want to make it available to as many customers as possible. Our solution is to aggregate a number of customers behind a single hosting partner. The host can therefore run one or more Railgun servers which we can hold a connection open to. Each Railgun server can accelerate the performance for multiple websites.

Using hosts like 1&1 as an aggregation point for Railgun allows us to solve the technical problem and make the technology available to the widest possible audience. Any host can become an Optimized Partner at no cost. Once they have, we provide them Railgun for free and they can, in turn, offer it to all their customers. This is exactly what 1&1 has done and why their customers who sign up for CloudFlare will immediately get access to technology that previously had cost thousands of dollars a month.

Go Faster!

1&1 joins a list of 250 other Optimized Partners that also allow their customers to get the benefits of Railgun. If your hosting provider don't yet offer Railgun, have them contact us and we'll get them setup as an Optimized Partner.

In the meantime, we're excited to welcome 1&1's 12 million customers to CloudFlare. Watch this space for news of other large hosting providers joining the CloudFlare family and offering their customers a faster, safer, more reliable hosted website.

Click here for the official press announcement from 1&1.

In early October we quietly announced our partnership with Parallels, a global leader in hosting, cloud services enablement and desktop virtualization.

In early October we quietly announced our partnership with Parallels, a global leader in hosting, cloud services enablement and desktop virtualization. Parallels makes it easier for service providers, like webhosts, to grow their business with service delivery software and a robust partner ecosystem.

Today, we are officially launching our partnership with Parallels. If you are a Parallels Service Provider and are using either Plesk or Parallels Automation, it means two things for you. First, your customers will be able to activate CloudFlare with a few clicks from their Parallels control panel. Second, you can now generate revenue by offering CloudFlare Performance Plus in addition to CloudFlare Free.

The partnership has made it super easy for all Parallels Service Providers to offer enterprise-grade performance and security to any website, especially their SMB and e-commerce customers. To get started, a hosting provider can install CloudFlare from the APS catalog. Installation takes less than 5 minutes and CloudFlare can be activated by all customers with just a few clicks.

Since our soft launch, we worked with over a hundred Parallels Service Providers who successfully integrated CloudFlare. In addition to generating revenue, partners enjoy many operational benefits such as reduced server load, bandwidth savings, protection from DDoS attacks and an automatic IPv4/6 gateway. Here's what some of them are saying about the partnership:

"As a result of our partnership with Parallels, we have been able to bring a number of innovative solutions to our customers," said Celal Ulgen, Chief Marketing Officer at SoftCom, parent company to the popular myhosting.com. "Now that CloudFlare is available in Parallels Automation, we will have another service to further improve our customers' experience."

"CloudFlare is so much more than just a content delivery network; the service optimizes web traffic, protects against online attacks, and provides real-time statistics," said Marco Houwen, CEO and co-founder of LuxCloud. "We are thrilled to be adding CloudFlare to our marketplace so that our partners can offer enhanced performance and increased security to their customers."

"The new Parallels Plesk Panel plugin is a great addition that allows for quick and easy deployment of CloudFlare on our shared web hosting, virtual and dedicated servers," said Gerardo Altman, CEO of Velocity Host. "CloudFlare allows us to get more out of every server and network connection in our cloud."

If you are a Parallels Plesk Panel service provider interested in signing up for the program, visit our Parallels page today:

www.cloudflare.com/parallels

Parallels makes it easier for service providers, like webhosts, to grow their business with service delivery software and a robust partner ecosystem. More than 9,000 service providers use Parallels to deliver thousands of applications and cloud services to 10 million small and medium businesses (SMBs) in 130 countries.

Today, we are excited to announce the CloudFlare and Parallels partnership. CloudFlare is available to all Parallels Plesk Panel 11 and 10.4 service providers through the APS catalog. It takes less than 5 minutes to install and comes in twoplans: CloudFlare Free and CloudFlare Performance Plus. We've made it super easy for all Parallels Service Providers to offer enterprise-grade performance and security to their customers. With just a few clicks, website owners can activate CloudFlare from their Parallels Panel.

Parallels Service Providers get many operational benefits; reduced server load, bandwidth savings, protection from DDoS attacks and an automatic IPv4/6 gateway. For the first time, we've also enabled every Parallels Service Provider to resell CloudFlare to their customers and generate revenue.

"The new CloudFlare Parallels Panel plugin allows for quick and easy deployment," said Gerado Altman, National Partner & Reseller Manager at Velocity Host. "We would love to keep CloudFlare as our own secret weapon but really the more users who are on the network the greater the power CloudFlare has to wield against malicious attacks and help all those who use their services."

Our goal at CloudFlare is to bring premium performance and security services to every website. Today, over 500,000 websites use CloudFlare, ranging from blogs to SMBs to ecommerce websites to governments to Fortune 500 companies. Through our partnership with Parallels, we will be able to deliver performance and security to even more websites around the world. We're thrilled to be working with the Parallels team.

If you are a Parallels Plesk Panel service provider, sign up for the program here: www.cloudflare.com/parallels
